The Coast VISA Desjardins Student is the only credit card in Canada to offer Cell Phone Insurance¹ at no charge.

• To benefit, cardholders must preauthorize the payment of their cell phone bill to their supplier using their VISA Desjardins Student card.
• The cardholder's cell phone is insured for up to $200^2,3 in the event of loss or theft (a $25 deductible applies).
• This insurance applies to the primary cardholder only, once annually and a maximum of 2 times over 4 years.

You and family members are covered up to $125,000 in case of an accident while travelling aboard a public air, sea or land carrier. Coverage is provided automatically by Desjardins Financial Security when you use your Coast VISA Desjardins Student card to purchase your tickets.

Credit Card Application

1. Cell Phone Insurance is underwritten by Lombard General Insurance Company of Canada.
2. Purchase of a new handset must be charged to the Coast VISA Desjardins Student card.
3. This policy covers only excess insurance and/or refund of deductible for all other insurance policies in effect and/or not covered by the cellular service provider and/or the manufacturer (equipment upgrade or replacement at no charge).
