What benefits are available?

Credit Balance Insurance for Individuals offers four benefits that apply to regular transactions and Accord D Desjardins:

1. Death and Dismemberment Coverage
2. Disability Coverage
3. Loss of Employment Coverage
4. Critical Illness Coverage

Description of Benefits

• Death and Dismemberment Coverage
  In the event that you or your spouse die or are dismembered, the balance of the purchases made with your Coast VISA Desjardins card and Accord D plan, will be paid in full, to a maximum of $15,000. In the event of accidental death, the amount is doubled.
• Disability Coverage
  In the event that you or your spouse become disabled, Credit Balance Insurance covers 10% of the balance of the current transactions on your monthly statement as well as your Accord D minimum payment due.
• Loss of Employment Coverage
  In the event that you or your spouse involuntarily lose your employment, Credit Balance Insurance covers 10% of the balance of the current transactions on your monthly statement as well as your Accord D minimum payment due.
• Critical Illness Coverage
  In the event that you or your spouse are diagnosed with a terminal or critical illness, the balance of the purchases made with your Coast VISA Desjardins card and Accord D plan, will be paid in full, to a maximum of $15,000.
